Educate and empower legislators in leadership roles in the Americas to work together in a coordinated effort with a view to promoting laws and policies on population and development issues in all countries in the Americas.

Promote collaboration and alliances among and between parliamentarians, popularly elected representatives, and different sectors of civil society, nationally, regionally and internationally.

Encourage open dialogue within the population and development debate, through innovative ideas that incorporate human rights and gender equality principles within a broad human development agenda.

Promote sexual and reproductive health and rights, women’s empowerment and women’s access to political participation as essential aspects of population and development issues.
